General Plan 2020 required the preration of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) – a comprehensive document required under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) that evaluates the potential long-range countywide environmental impacts of the project. The EIR process began with the release of a Draft EIR (DEIR), which presents the County’s environmental analysis, identifies potentially significant impacts, and proposes mitigation measures and project alternatives. The DEIR was made available for public and agency review and comment. After the comment period closed, the County prepared a Final EIR, which includes responses to comments, any necessary revisions, and findings of fact. The FEIR and DEIR are now available to download.
