Section 21670 Public Utilities Code, State of California - Formed by C-4-20, April 13, 1982

Duties

Pursuant to the Public Utilities Code sections 21670-21679.5, the Airport Land Use Commission has the following powers and duties:

  • Assist local agencies in ensuring compatible land uses in the vicinity of airports.
  • Provide for the orderly development of air transportation while protecting the public health, safety and welfare.
  • Prepare and adopt a comprehensive airport land use plan. Review the plans and actions of local agencies and airport operators.
